Hello all, I am in the final stages of planning my PV system. It is a grid-tied and roof-mounted 12.8kW system, using Enphase microinverters. Initially, I thought that I want to place the combiner box (Enphase IQ Combiner 4) outside right next to the disconnect and meter. However, it might be cleaner and easier for me to place it inside next to the main panel, which is located inside right on the other side. Also, our winters are quite harsh so having the combiner box insight might keep it look nice and shiny for longer 🙂 All wiring from the microinverters will be inside, coming from the attic. Please see below a quick sketch. Is there anything that I am missing or any reason why I should have the combiner box outside? Thank you!! submitted by /u/STPaul_Sublease |
