Got lightweight concrete tile roof. Should I replace underlayment before installing solar?

My parents are in the bay area in California. Their roof is about 20 years old, lightweight concrete tiles. I understand the tiles can last a long time, but the underlayment may need replacing. Should they redo the underlayment before installing solar? My solar installer thinks no, if they haven’t been having issues with the underlayment; but I’m skeptical. But I do want to move fast to get it done before NEM 3.0. Thoughts? Thanks!
