upGrad to hire 3,000 people in three months, close to securing fresh funding

upGrad announced on Wednesday that it plans to hire roughly 3,000 workers in the next three months and is close to getting new finance, bucking the trend of layoffs in the edtech sector due to a financial shortage. Ronnie Screwvala, the business#39;s chairperson and co-founder, told PTI that the five-year-old company, which currently employs 4,000 people, will boost its staff to about 6,500-7,000 by August this year.
