New Jersey Public Service Solar Experience?

I started off down the wrong path and got a quote for a financed 14kW system from SunRun and had terrible sticker shock. So I’ve cancelled out of that and went through Energy Sage and have 3 quotes so far. The most promising appears to be from “Public Service Solar, LLC” and I can see that there have been one or two threads involving them here already that have been mostly positive.

I don’t see anything though really post-installation experience. I’d love to hear people’s opinions of them through the whole process. Did the quoted price per watt change after the physical site survey was done? Were there a lot of hidden fees or extras (says free critter guards)? Any roof damage and how was it handled?

So far I have quotes from PSS($2.83), Solar ME($2.50), and GPE($3.00). I feel like the PSS quote is the most reasonable with a 14.5kW system using Panasonic EVPV360K and Enphase IQ8A. The Solar ME quote seems unreasonably larger (25kW) and I don’t think it would actually fit on my roof. I’ll put all the quote below here in case anyone has any insights/opinions they wish to share.

GPE: 19.7kW @ $59,130 ($3.00/watt). 54x QCELLS BLK-G10+ 365 Q.PEAK DUO, 54x Enphase IQ8PLUS-72-2-US (“IronRidge black micro rail for a low profiled install which combines the most efficient and aesthetically appealing solar systems available”). 25 year warranty is included with all of Green Power Energy installs, this includes all equipment, roof penetrations and labor. Enphase online panel level monitoring included.

Solar ME: 24.8kW @ $62,000 ($2.50/watt). 62x QCELLS BLK ML-G10+ 400 Q.PEAK DUO, 62x IQ7PLUS-72-x-US-208. 25-year manufacturer parts warranty for your solar panels. 25-year manufacturer performance guaranty for your solar panels. 25-year manufacturer warranty for your inverters. 25-year “ Workmanship Warranty” covering general installation on an asphalt shingle roof.
