Solar monitoring help

I have a solar system on the house I bought and it is required that the system have Internet for the leasing company to monitor it.

I have a pretty average Netgear modem/router combo that I use for Internet at my house.

The solar system came with a plug link to connect to the modem via ethernet and provide network but the modem doesn’t recognize the system and the port remains yellow on the modem.

I’ve also tried directly cabling into the solar system to eliminate the plug link as the issue and still have no luck in getting this thing to monitor.

I’m thinking it’s a compatibility issue with my Netgear but any advice would be appreciated. I also poked around in the Netgear settings and found nothing of use.
