Can I use a hybrid inverter together with an on-grid one?

My client has an existing system with an old Fronius inverter. My theory is that I can split the AC output of the Fronius and hook up an other inverter, a hybrid one to the Fronius as a consumer (to which the Fronius will act as grid supply). The two inverters would supply different consumers. Could this work in theory? I will discourage him from doing this but still, I’m curious.
