Solar on an Old Roof?

My roof is 27 years old. I got a very compelling offer for solar that I am considering, but with the old roof, I am worried about the added cost to replace the roof. I am in a half plex, otherwise I would have replaced the roof already.

Should I wait for solar until the roof is replaced? I’ll probably do it in 2 years.
