Located in southern California and been drinking from the firehose on solar for the past few weeks… finally got a couple quotes, would love to get some feedback on these:
- Solar Optimum 9.6kW, Panasonic EVPV400h panels, IQ8M microinverters for $27k ($2.85 $/w)
- GC Electric, 8.8kW, Panasonic EVPV400h panels, IQ8M microinverters for $22k($2.54)
- Baker Electric, 9.2kW Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 400, IQ8m microinverters, $43k ($n/a)
- Aloha Solar, 9.2kW Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 400, IQ7a microinverters, $29k ($3.10)
- NRG, 8.8kW, Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G10+ 400, IQ8M microinverters, $24k ($2.7)
The Baker quote includes a new roof. Without the roof it would have been around $3.75/watt, but with the roof it’s pretty much in line with $2.80ish per watt plus hiring a roofer for $13-15k… I’m really tempted to go with Baker and have it all done by one company. Any reason not to go with them?
