Residential Carport Questions

I own 1 unit of a 2 unit townhome. Last year I installed Tesla solar and love it with no problems. My neighbor who lives in the other unit is interested in solar now as well so I shared my positive experience with them.

I just got to thinking that we both have 1 garage spot each plus 1 outdoor parking spot each in our shared driveway. Would it make sense to install a solar carport? I’m in New England so I like the idea of a covered structure for when it snows and also it could give me another option to charge if I park my EV outside.

Please share any installers/vendors/tips/pros/cons of a residential double solar carport.
