My 11 year old Solis 5kw inverter is constantly rebooting for the past 5 days and not generating any power. The LED display shows error OV BUS. Looking at up online seems that this error essentially means that the inverter should be replaced.
I’ve called a number of solar companies to get quotes for a new inverter. One indicated that the error could be from the solar panels. I’m a bit skeptical that it is the panels and they might be trying to up sell a new full system.
Should I insist that any installer check out the panels also before getting the inverter replaced?
