I recently started to get some quotes for solar panels and was hoping to get some advice for questions to ask and/or thoughts about the quotes below. We recently moved to this house so did not have a full year of electric bills, but from May to Nov we did use about 6300 kWh. All 4 companies seem to have pretty good reviews on Google.
Company A – 12kW (30 panels x 400w). Q cell Peak Duo ML-G10+ with IQ8 micro-inverters. $42,620 before credits – $3.55/w
Company B – 13.2kW (33 panels x 400w). Silfab 400w (SIL-400HC+). $42,095 total – $3.19/w. This company was recommended by Solarize Southeast PA.
Company C – 7.92kW (22 panels x 360w). Sunpower panels. $29,000. $3.66/watt.
Company D – 10.36kW (28 x 370w) Suntech panels with SolarEdge inverters. 30 yr warranty. $29,200. Definitely the cheapest at $2.82/w.
