Backup battery with EV charger

Anyone here with both home a battery backup and an EV charger?

I have solar panels (7 kW) and a backup battery (8 kW, 15 kWh) and I want to add an EV charger. The easiest way would be to add another breaker in my main panel outside, however, that panel is backed up by the battery.

The EV charger would probably need about 10 kW and a normal EV battery is about 60 – 75 kWh. If a grid outage happened when my EV is charging, the backup battery would not be able to power my house anymore. And even if it could, it would not last very long since the EV would consume all the energy.

I could off course turn the charger off when there is an outage, but that requires that I am awake and aware at the time. Typically, I would charge the car over night, and if an outage happened I would not know.

The alternative would be to add another panel with a breaker for the EV charger, but this is quite a bit more expensive. How does everyone else done this?
