We’ve had a large commercial solar panel system for about a year with meh results. The panels generate a surplus during the day, which we do sell back, but then we’re purchasing from the utility during the evening at peak rates. My thoughts are that I don’t really care about selling surplus for pennies then but at a premium.
If I add a battery system will it be smart enough to use up the battery before buying from the grid?
