Micro inverter or Optimizer Question

Advertisements

I’ve settled on an installer and I’m in the final stages of purchasing my system, but the installer gave me two options that I’m researching and can’t settle on a solid winner. They can either fit 26 total Silfab SIL-370w panels with IQ7+ micro inverters, or they could fit 24 total 400w panels with optimizers and a SolarEdge inverter. Either system will come out to essentially the same price (~27K, 19K after state rebates) and both are 9.6kw systems. It’s a south (sw and se) facing roof, with some partial shade especially at certain times of year and end of the day.

Is this a no brainer, or six of one and half dozen of the other? My gut is saying go with the micro inverters since they have a stock 25 years warranty compared to the 12 year for the SolarEdge. But I’m not sure if the panel differences are weird? They were steering me from 400w panels with the IQ7+ because apparently the micro inverters don’t handle the higher watt panels as well.
