sce smart meter cover yellowing

couldn’t find much info online. i never paid attention to my smart meter until having solar installed recently. the clear cover has yellowed kind of like headlights and not clear anymore. is there a way to clean it up or can i ask sce to just replace the cover? are there glass alternatives available? it is south facing sun exposed in socal.
