I’m by no means an expert with this, so if I’m all wrong about it, please let me know.
I’ve only had my system turned on for a month and access to the SolarEdge app for about two weeks, so I may need more data before I know for sure that there is an issue. But I have a 7.02kW system (18 panels x 390W) and a 3.8kW inverter, a SolarEdge SE3800H-US inverter. My graph is clipping between 10:00am and 3:00pm anywhere between 3.90kW and 4.00kW. Here’s my chart from today, not a cloud in the sky. Panels face east and only about two to four panels receive any kind of shade from my neighbors’ trees until about 10:00am.
I know I should expect my system to be more like 80% of 7.02kW, but even then 3.8kW seems pretty far off.
I called my installer on Thursday and left a message but haven’t heard back. I’m curious about how much I need to get on them about this. Thanks for any help you can provide!
(Bonus question: my SolarEdge app says under my site details that my “peak power” is 6.3kWp. Does anyone know how this number is calculated?)
