Hello, for any solar edge and or Tesla system designers or engineer out there I have a question. Family member current system: The setup pictured here is composed 2 energy hubs one 7.6 and one 3.8 connected to 14kw solar. The backup interphase is the one for backup loads panel. System now has 2 lg prime resu 10(picture was when 1 was installed ) and the ev charger. Everything works as advertised and they are happy with the equipment. Now here’s the fun part, they are getting the Cybertruck and are getting the PowerShare V2H. Basically a Tesla gateway gen2 and the Tesla PowerShare compatible home charger. The question is, what is the best course as in where would be better to add the Tesla gateway. Add to the solar edge backup interface as a backup generator input? Or swap the interphase for the one with the service disconnect and remover the backup loads panel as well to streamline. With the 2 lg batteries and both energy hubs the system can power all the loads in the home without need for backup loads panel with the caviat of having shorter run time due to lg capacity obviously, unless they add the solar edge load disconnect module. To extend runtime. In this alternate, where to add the Tesla gateway then? Since the cybertruck will output more than enough to run everything even Heat pump they would like to have full house backup. Suggestions are appreciated. submitted by /u/mac989999 |
