Sandeshkali row: BJP’s Suvendu slams ‘cruel’ Mamata

The Chief of BJP in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, has criticized chief minister Mamata Banerjee for the delay in the arrest of Sheikh Shahjahan, the main accused in the Sandeshkhali sexual assault case. Suvendu Adhikari stated that Mamata Banerjee has filed 42 cases against him but has failed to apprehend Shahjahan. He said that Banerjee would not arrest Shahjahan as it would jeopardize the ruling TMC’s chances of winning the Basirhat seat.
