Govt clears Rs 16,000cr for strategic highway near China border

The road transport ministry has sanctioned Rs 16,000 crore for the construction of over 600km of the 1,748km Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh. It aims to improve connectivity and infrastructure along the India-Tibet-China-Myanmar border. Nitin Gadkari stated that it will also enable the development of hydropower projects connecting significant river basins.
