Large distance from grid-tie inverter to house

Advertisements

Hello,

I am about to install a Grid-tie inverter (Victron Easy Solar 2 GX) and it is going to be situated around 60m from the house main incoming. I will also be using a ET340 to sense the grid usage and disable feed-in.

What I cannot wrap my head around is how the inverter will manage the voltage drop over the 60m cable. It could be, at 5KW, 3-4%. It’s apparent voltage will be lower than that of the grid. Will this affect it / stop it from working effectively?

I cannot put it any close to the house so no real options there.
