Merge 2 envoy sites with batteries? Good idea?

Hello folks. I currently have 2 envoy sites on my home. One of them has the Ensemble battery system on it. I was told I could merge the sites, but my installer said that he was told by Enphase support that merging the sites while one has batteries can confuse the batteries and make them over discharge when needed, causing them to drain much faster. I haven’t not always gotten the most accurate information from Enphase support so I wanted to ask this question to see if any of you installers here have also come across this.
