Hi,
Since last October we got solar panels installed on our roof. A total of 62x 405Wp panels with a SolarEdge SE17K inverter. The maximum output power of the inverter is 17.000 Watt and with the current weather the daily total is about 130 kWh.
I recently came across the EG4-LL batteries (48V, 100Ah), which I am quite interested in. They seem to smart devices where I can read out individual statistics, can be daisy-chained to each other and (I am not completely sure about this) they don’t seem to be too expensive compared to e.g. a SolarEdge battery.
In the user manual of the battery (page 17), SolarEdge is not listed and on other forums I also found that SolarEdge is quite proprietary with its battery solutions.
Does anyone have experience with the EG4-LL batteries combined with a SolarEdge inverter?
If they cannot be directly connected is it then possible to use e.g. use a EG4 Chargeverter to charge the batteries? In that case I am wondering if I need some kind of inverter/converter to get 230V again?
Some forums also suggest ditching the SolarEdge inverter but that’s not really an option because of every panel having a SolarEdge optimizer connected to it.
More context: I want to initially put all my computer equipment behind the battery, but a next step would be to put more housing equipment behind it.
If there are better solutions available, please say so!
