Does it make sense to have separate installers for solar system and battery

Advertisements

Hello,

I got my solar system installed earlier this year with company A. Im looking to add batteries now and am shopping for quotes. My current installer is charging more than the others to install 2 Tesla powerwalls so Im leaning towards picking another installer B.

Wanted some advice on whether this is a reasonable thing to do from a warranty perspective. Is it better to keep everything under one installer or are the panel/battery systems separate enough that I likely won’t face issues with either installer in the future if I have to do a warranty claim on something

Thanks
