Hello everyone,
I have two Pytes EBox 48100R batteries installed in my system and after looking into the data my PV system is showing me (solar yield, consumption, …) I noticed that something can’t be right. The batteries only needed around 5kWh to get fully charged. Same counts for discharging them (only ~5kWh were supplied).
Since I have some nice measurement equipment available to me, I charged and discharged the batteries (with 0.1C) and logged the current and voltage data with a desktop multimeter and also logged the BMS data (voltage, current, Ah, SoC). The measurements can be seen in the pictures. With the old software (sorry I don’t remember the version) you can see a big jump in the data that is reported by the BMS at ~2.5h. Therefore, the BMS thinks way to early it is at 100% SoC.
After reporting this to my supplier, they provided me with a new software version (SPBMS16SRP2203V1.5.23.C8). I repeated the measurement and now the battery performs correctly. There is still a discrepancy between the BMS Ah and SoC to the measured Ah, but the stored energy is as the datasheet states, even a little bit above.
The plots are a little bit crowded, hope you can see what I am saying.
So, if you are using a Pytes EBOX battery talk to you supplier an make sure that you have my software version or later!
