Advice on battery post solar install?

Advertisements

Researching now on best options for battery post my solar install.

What’s in place today is as follows…

52 Panel system ( IQPlus8 Microinverters ) = ~19.2Kwatt

Plan on paying it off in full w/in 18 months so will own the array outright.

Wanting to install a battery storage to get off the grid/control my own destiny and also have in place for back up as well.

The “net metering” here in TX ain’t what I thought it would be unfortunately too.

We typically go thru about 3000KW per month here too ( wife runs a in home day care so we eat electricity all dang day long )

Any advice on battery systems and how big?

Looking at Enphase as well as Tesla since original install group ( ADT Solar ) sells those.

Any other options to consider?

Ballpark on costs?

Also what to avoid as well…don’t want to get burned so to speak!

Any and all insight is appreciated!!!
